Why Oxherd Ledger

What distinguishes this kind of education

Designed for Midlife Timelines

The programmes address the particular situation of people in their 40s and 50s — neither beginners nor near retirement, with real complexity ahead.

Calibrated Expectations

Every module uses historical data to show what investment income has realistically looked like across different periods and asset classes — not projections, but context.

Applied Exercises

You leave each course with written work — allocation exercises or a long-horizon plan — that reflects your own numbers, not a generic template.

Hong Kong Context Throughout

Tax treatment, MPF integration, and local market structures are woven into the curriculum — not added as a footnote.

Honest About Complexity

Income from investments is not straightforward, and these courses don't pretend otherwise. The goal is understanding, not reassurance.

Long-Horizon Framing

From a four-week introduction to a ten-week programme spanning decades of planning — each step prepares you to think further ahead with greater clarity.

Common Questions

Things people ask before enrolling

Do I need any investment knowledge before starting?
The Foundations course is designed for people with limited formal knowledge of investment income — perhaps some experience of a savings account, MPF, or a managed fund, but no structured understanding. The later courses build on that foundation. If you are unsure which level suits you, the enquiry form is a good starting point.
Are these courses delivered online or in person?
Courses are offered in a structured format with written materials, guided exercises, and periodic review sessions. Please use the contact form to discuss the current delivery schedule and which options are available.
Will I receive advice on what to buy or invest in?
No. These are educational programmes. They are designed to help you understand investment income and think through your own situation — not to tell you which securities or funds to purchase. Participants are encouraged to consult a licensed financial adviser for specific product recommendations.
How much time should I set aside each week?
Roughly three to five hours per week, depending on the course and how thoroughly you engage with the exercises. The ten-week programme in particular benefits from a considered pace — the ideas take time to apply to your own numbers.
Can I take the courses in sequence?
Yes — all three programmes are designed to work together progressively. Many participants begin with the Foundations course and move through the full sequence. If you already have a working knowledge of income investment concepts, you may begin at the second or third level.
What is the refund or withdrawal policy?
Please refer to our Terms & Conditions for the full enrolment and withdrawal policy. In general, requests made before the course begins are handled differently from those made after materials have been accessed.
